History
J.E. Crain Construction Company was established in 1933 by J.E. Crain. In 1954 a partnership was formed by J.E. Crain and J.T. Crain causing the company name to be changed to J.E. Crain & Son.
J.E. Crain died in August 1967, and the company continued as a sole proprietorship of J.T. Crain under the same name.
The company was incorporated in 1970 with the name changing to J.E. Crain & Son, Inc. All stock is owned by principals of the business. The company has an unlimited license to perform general contracting.
Prior to 1950, the company was primarily engaged in the construction of residences. After 1950, residential construction was phased out in favor of commercial, institutional and industrial construction.
